Hong Kong Institution of Engineers

The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers promotes the professional standing, interests and technical standards of local engineers across a broad spectrum of engineering specialisations. HKIE has developed accreditation criteria for engineering degree, higher diploma, and computer science programmes. Programs are accredited for a period up to five years. The HKIE may grant full accreditation for five years or for a term of less than five years, either to bring it in line with the accreditation cycle of other programs or to monitor a program early in relation to any conditions, requirements and/or concerns which may have emerged during the accreditation process.
