Coordenacao de Aperfeicoamento de Pessoal de Nivel Superior (CAPES) Foundation is a federal agency within the Brazilian Ministry of Education, which is responsible for the evaluation of graduate courses/programs at the master and doctorate levels as well as encouraging international scientific cooperation. The evaluation procedures consist of critical analysis of annual reports of each course and their re-evaluation every third year.
