This summer, ICACIT held an Accreditation Workshop which focused on strengthening the knowledge and application of their results-based accreditation model, a fundamental pillar to ensure the educational quality of Computing, Engineering and Engineering Technology (CIT) programs in Peru. ICACIT is the official accrediting body of Peru and was the first Latin American organization admitted as a member of the Washington Accord. It is also a full signatory of the Lima Accord and a provisional member of both the Seoul Accord and the Sydney Accord.
During the 2024 workshop, attendees had the opportunity to participate in interactive dynamics and in-depth discussions about the ICACIT Accreditation standards that it promotes to raise the quality of higher education in Peru. The workshop not only allowed for a fruitful exchange of ideas and best practices, but also reaffirmed ICACIT's vision of being a benchmark in educational accreditation in Latin America. Through initiatives such as this, ICACIT continues to promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement that will benefit future generations of engineers and technology professionals.
