Spotlight: BAETE Hosts Symposium III

The Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE) recently hosted a Symposium III, with the theme "Education Imparts Competencies for Sustainable Development.” BAETE is a provisional signatory of the Washington Accord and has hosted two prior Symposiums in 2019 and 2020 to gather experts to support their commitment to maintaining international standards of engineering education in its accredited programmes. The symposium brought together more than 400 participants, with many speakers addressing changes in engineering education and program accreditation in Bangladesh. The group also reviewed a draft of a revised BAETE Accreditation Manual.
